Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/14/14)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Four materials. 2) I can understand what learning objectives are for the second quarter.
Homework: 1) Lesson Five character definitions. 2. Review Sounds 1 assessment: Monday, 12/1/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your Lesson Four character worksheet & Hanyu Pinyin Phonetics System worksheet. Pass out a set of 3 handouts. Go over details of handouts.
2. 1) Go over 2nd quarter learning objectives. 2) Lesson Four chapter test. 3) Work on your Lesson Five definitions / Phonetics worksheet.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/14/14)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors and talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tourist attraction—Terra Cotta Warriors, 6 popular sports and basketball in China. 3) I can explore Chinese tangram piece game.
Homework: 1) Quiz #4: Monday, 11/17/14. 2) Practice reading sentences #1-#10. 3) Work on your art project over this weekend.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return oral presentation draft #2. Read sentences #1-#10. 2) Quick review (8 colors). 3) Teach new terms (hui se, cheng se, fen hong se).
2. 1) Video clips: Terra Cotta Warriors. 2) Culture reading: Basketball in China / 6 Popular Sports in China. 3) Tangram piece game (day one).
