Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/12/14)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer questions and write sentences about identity, age, and dates. 2) I can review chapter test through playing interactive game. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese custom of celebrating birthday.
Homework: 1) Lesson Four character worksheet due on Friday. 2) Lesson Four chapter test: Friday, 11/14/14.
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Claim your art work. Vote to postpone chapter test to Friday? 2) Listening activity: WB pages 22-23 (Section A). Go over the answer key. 3) Go over text pages 26-27 and culture reading on pages 28-31.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam  pair / independent work: 1) Quizlet flash cards. 2) Ni Hao interactive game. 3) Practice oral exam. 4) Writing practice. 5) Work on Hanyu Pinyin Phonetic System worksheet.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/12/14)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself and name colors and sports in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and the legend of giant pandas.
Homework: 1) Review learned color terms. 2) Practice reading sentences #1-#9.
1. 1) Teach new terms (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, xi huan). 2) Pass out sports handout and learn terms about sports. 3) Write sentences #8-#9. 4) Read sentences #1-#9.
2. 1) Video: Chinese zodiac animals. 2) Culture reading: The Legend of Giant Pandas.
