Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (11/13/14)

Objectives: 1) I can review chapter test through interactive game and online games. 2) I can sing Happy Birthday song in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about how Chinese celebrate birthdays.
Homework: 1) Study for Lesson Four chapter test. 2) Hanyu Pinyin Phonetics System worksheet and Lesson Four character worksheet due tomorrow.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greetings. 2) Teach enrichment vocabulary (祝, 生, 生日, 快乐). 3) (8P) Listening activity. 4) Sing Happy Birthday song in Chinese. 5) Video: Chinese birthday celebration. 6) Kahoot game.
2. Independent work: 1) Quizlet (11/11/14 blog). 2) Ni Hao interactive game. 3) YouTube video clips (11/3/14 blog). 4) Writing problems practice.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/13/14)

Objectives: 1) I can name colors and talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and signature items through viewing artifacts.
Homework: Finalize your art project medium / theme.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (4 colors). 2) Teach new terms (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se). 3) Write sentence #10. 4) Read sentences #1-#10. Collect draft #2. 5) Panda video clip / file.
2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese Zodiac Animals. 2) Showcase Art project sample video clips & craft samples. 3) Showcase Chinese tea sets / mahjong / abacus / chess set. 4) Show more art project samples pictures.
