Procedures for 12/10/14

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (12/10/14)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Five materials. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools, etc. and prepare for my mid-term exam.
Homework: 1) Know all 6 family terms by tomorrow. 2) 11 culture articles + 3 sheets of exit slips (2 double-sided and 1 single-sided) are due on Monday, 12/15/14. 3) Family picture is due on Monday, 12/15/14. 4) Review Sounds2 oral assessment: Monday, 12/15/14.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your Lesson Five character worksheet. Makeup work (4P: Alex). 2) (4P) Sign up in-class or 6A/6B reading for next Monday’s Review Sounds2 Sounding Out Loud oral exam.
2. 1) Lesson Five chapter test. 2) if you are done, you can work on culture reading w/exit slips.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/10/14)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can say numbers in Chinese. 3) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about (3P) Chinese characters and chopsticks / (5P) Chinese silk and embroidery.
Homework: Review 21 learned greeting terms and 12 Chinese characters.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return 8 picture word writing assignment papers. Quick review (17 greeting terms + 8 picture characters). 2) Teach new terms (qi li, jing li, zuo xia, qing zuo). 3) Teach new characters (one, two, three, four).
2. 1) Video clips: (3P) moon / chopsticks (5P) Chinese silk / embroidery. 2) (5P) Showcase silk cocoon and embroidery artifact.
