Procedures for 1/7/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (1/7/15)

Objectives: 1) I can create a PowerPoint presentation and a Voki to talk about my family and myself. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Your work of PPT slides is due at the end of today. 2) Voki is due on Friday, 1/9/15. 3) Lesson Six chapter test: Friday, 1/9/15.  4) WB pages 35 (#2, #3, #5, #6) & 40.


  1. 1) Makeup work—2015 New Year’s Resolutions (4P: Carlos, Joey, Leon, Cameron). Review checklist for Family PPT slides. 2) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam ó 1) Work on your PPT slides. 2) Polish your Voki by changing your avatar appearance or refine your audio recording, if necessary.
  2. Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/7/15)

 Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing art project samples. 3) (5P) I can gain cultural knowledge about significance of Chinese dragons.

Homework: 1) Quiz #4: Wednesday, 1/14/15. 2) Art project is due on Tuesday, 1/20/15. 3) Oral presentation starts on Wednesday, 1/21/15 and Thursday, 1/22/15.


  1. 1) Return / explain your draft #1. Makeup work (3P: Aidan, Jason, Sami, Analina, Natalie, Elyssa; 5P: Savannah, Sam H.). 2) Pass out colors flash cards. 3) Teach new terms (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se). 4) Review phone number format. 5) Write sentence #6. 6) Read sentences #1-#6.
  2. 1) (5P) Video clip: Chinese Dragon. 2) Showcase art project samples (origami, poster board drawings).
