Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (1/15/15)

Objectives: I can showcase my mastery of Chinese materials from the first semester.

Homework: 1) Review for multiple choice and grammar corrections sections. 2) Brainstorm ideas for your skit.

Procedure:

  1. 1) All makeup work and retakes have to be completed by the end of tomorrow (no 6P—WL dept. meeting). (1P: Britney, Guenever, Chris, Phoebe; 4P: Ethan M., Evan B., Joey, Liliana, Jeremy, Ben, Leon; 8P: Suhashith, Charlie, David, Maddie) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) No scantron card today. Write your responses directly on question paper + answer sheet.   Pay attention to weight of the questions.
  2. 1) Midterm exam. 2) Work on something quietly if you are done before the end of class period.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/15/15)

Objectives: 1) I can apply what I have learned in Chinese class to create an art project with ten different Chinese terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese jianzi, Chinese colors, and pets in China. 3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project. 4) I can play game in Chinese version.

Homework: 1) Practice reading your oral presentation. 2) Finalize your art project.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return quiz #4 papers & oral presentation draft #2. Makeup work (3P: Natalie, Julia, Elyssa, Semi; 5P: Sam, Savannah, Patrick). 2) Read sentences #1 to #10. 3) Introduce one new website for pronunciation. Revisiti the old website for typing Hanyu pinyin.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese jianzi. 2) Culture reading: The Significance of Chinese Colors / Pets in China. 3) (3P) Showcase more art project samples. 4) Teach direction terms (up, down, left, right, forward, stop) for Pin the Tail on the Donkey game.
