Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (1/20/15)

Objectives: 1) I can name animals and describe pets/animals. 2) I can self-assess my growth in Chinese learning. 3) I can apply what I have learned and create a skit with a partner. 4) I can complete a survey for mid-term exam.

Homework: 1) Self-assessment and survey are due tomorrow. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (4P) Megan Louttit is looking for a partner for her skit. 2) Go over checklist for Lessons 5-6-7- skit. 3) Go over self-assessment and survey handouts.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (宠, 物, 宠物, 只, 狗, 猫). 2) Pass back and analyze your midterm exam.
  3. Pair activity: Brainstorm your skit.


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/20/15)

Objectives: 1) I can apply what I have learned in Chinese class to create an art project with ten different Chinese terms. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors.

Homework: Oral presentation starts from tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Read 10 sentences. 2) Ms. Chang takes turns calling on individual student to check your art project ó independent work: 1) Study hall time. 2) Read Chinese books. 3) Work on mind bender cube game or tangram pieces game.
  2. 1) Video clip: Terra Cotta Warriors. 2) Presentation, if interested.
