Procedures for 2/10/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (2/10/15)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills. 2) I can strengthen my knowledge of grammar and sentence pattern. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese traditions through viewing an authentic movie. 4) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Grammar correction worksheet (#1, #2, #4, #5, #13, #14) / Rearrange scrambled sentences worksheet (#1-#7). 2) Fill out movie unit story map. 3) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) Quick review. 3) Go over conversation questions handout.
  2. 1) Pair/Group activity—grammar correction worksheet + scrambled sentence worksheet + conversation question practice / review the last sentence pattern question in the chapter test writing section. 3) Movie time.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/10/15)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can say and write numbers in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea and Chinese publications.

Homework: Review 20 characters for quiz #2.

Procedure:

  1. Quick review (26 greeting terms + 17 characters). 2) Teach new characters (ten, zero, hundred). Collect. 3) Culture reading: Chinese publications.
  2. 1) Showcase Chinese seals, Chinese publications, and Chinese tea. 2) Quiz #1.
