Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (2/12/15)

Objectives: 1) (1P) I can sharpen my listening comprehension skill through viewing video/audio files. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese traditions through viewing an authentic movie. 4) I can sing a Chinese New Year song. 5) I can review sentence patterns.

Homework: 1) Review learned 9 characters. 2) Fill out movie unit story map daily. 3) Practice conversation questions. 4) Grammar correction worksheet #20-#25. Scrambled sentence worksheet #8-#14.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) Quick review. 3) Go over scrambled sentence worksheet #1-#7. 4) Song time (Happy Chinese New Year). 5) (1P) Listening activity.
  2. 1) Conversation question Q/A. 2) Movie time.

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (2/12/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can recognize 20 Chinese characters.   2) I can understand Chinese counting principle and I can count from zero to nine hundred ninety nine. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of origami. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food and Chinese mealtime customs.

Homework: 1) Review 20 Chinese characters. 2) Review Chinese counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters). (3P) Audio file for number counting. 2) Pass out and go over Chinese counting principle. 3) Count from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese food + Chinese Mealtime Customs. 2) Origami time. Collect as participation grace. 3) Finger guessing game time.
