Procedure for MS 1P / 4P /8P (2/27/15)

Objectives: 1) I can create a slide to talk about my nationality and language skill. 2) I can play interactive game to review my chapter test. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about China by viewing enrichment video clips.

Homework: 1) Slide of nationality and language skills is due at the end of the class period today. 2) Lesson eight chapter test takes place on Monday, 3/2/15. 3) Lesson Eight character worksheet, grammar correction worksheet problems and culture exit slips due on next Monday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Greeting routine. Return your nationality + language skill paragraph. Turn in your culture reading articles & exit slips, if done. Makeup work (1P: Guenever / Olivia; 4P: Carlos + Evan J, / Eric C., Jessy, Jeremy, Leon, Ben; 8P: Andrew C. / Maddie, Ada, Maggie, Andrew C.). Ms. Chang will e-mail you some writing practice problems and notes over the weekend. Please check your e-mail. 2) Song time preparation + introduction + lining up + red envelopes + photographer.
  2. Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (2/27/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of 20 Chinese picture/number characters.   2) I can understand Chinese counting principle and I can count from zero to nine hundred ninety nine. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea house and Chinese meal time customs. 4) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review Chinese counting principle. 2) Practice reading out loud sentences #1-#2.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters). 2) Count from zero to one hundred. Some challenging number questions. 3) Quiz #2.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese tea house + Chinese Mealtime Customs. 2) Go over oral presentation handout. 3) Teach term (sui). 4) Write/read sentences #1-#2.
