Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (2/11/15)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese traditions through viewing an authentic movie. 4) I can review sentence patterns and grammar.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Fill out movie unit story map daily. 3) Practice oral exam questions.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) Quick review. 3) Writing practice. 3) Go over grammar correction worksheet.
2. 1) Teach new characters (漢, 语, 漢语, 汉人, 汉语, 英语, 文, 英文, 中文, 德, 德国, 德国人,德语, 德文, 美德). 2) Conversation Q/A.
3. Movie time.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/11/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say and recognize Chinese number characters. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese finger guessing game and lucky and unlucky numbers. 3) I can explore origami.
Homework: 1) Review 20 characters for quiz #2: Tuesday, 2/17/15. 2) Quiz #3 (connecting the dots): Monday, 2/23/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return quiz #1 paper and number character writing assignment. Makeup work (3P: Taylor, Ryan, Patryk, Luke; 5P: Caleb). 2) Quick review (20 characters). 3) Number rapping from YouTube. (5P) Audio file for numbers.
2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese finger guessing game + Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers. 2) Origami time.
