Procedure for MS 1P / 4P / 8P (2/26/15)

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can talk about my nationality and language skills. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about pets and popular sports in China,
Homework: 1) Nationality and language skill sentences due at the end of class today. 2) Grammar correction worksheet #6, #15, #16, #24, #25, and #26. 3) Culture exit slips.
Procedure:
1. 1) Greeting routine. Return vocabulary quiz papers / worksheet. 2) Confirm library event / tasks. Please promote and invite more young students to attend. 3) Song time / lining up. 4) Make red envelopes.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam <> Seat work: 1) Write sentences of nationality and language skills + 2) complete culture exit slips. + 3) Work on grammar correction worksheet. 4) Read text page 74 + 76. 5) Practice conversation questions.

 

Procedure for MS 3P / 5P (2/26/15)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese birthday celebration. 3) I can explore tangram game.
Homework: Finalize your art project.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return papers. (3P) Pass out colors flash cards. Teach (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se)  (5P) Quick review (4 colors). Teach (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se). 2) Review address format. 3) Teach term (zhu zhi). Write sentence #7. 4) Read sentences #1-#7,
2. 1) Video clip: Chinese birthday celebration. 2) Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals + the Legend of Giant Panda.
3. Tangram game (day 1).
