Procedures for 3/2/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/2/15)

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Eight materials. 2) I can prepare for an outreach program in the library.

Homework: Lesson Nine character definitions.


  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Please turn in Lesson Eight character worksheet, grammar correction worksheet, culture articles and culture exit slips. (1P) Hi-Chew candy!!. (1P: Chris, Guenever, Phoebe; 4P: Jeremy, Ben, Leon; 8P: Ada, Maddie, David) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Book Fair: Tuesday, 3/3 to Thursday, 3/5 in media center. Tornado drill at 9:50 am on Wednesday. Chinese Club group picture: 2P, Thursday, 3/5/15. Please help spread the word and recruit more participants for library event. Any questions before test?
  2. 1) Lesson Eight chapter test. 2) Work on Lesson Nine character definitions. 3) Class discussion: Library event: tasks / materials needed, etc. 4) Answers to the Movie Unit Story Map will be posted and showcase on Wednesday.






Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/2/15)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about the legend of Chinese zodiac animals and Chinese traditional sports. 3) I can say colors in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Quiz #4: Tuesday, 3/3/15. 2) Art project is due on Wednesday, 3/4/15. 3) Oral presentation starts on 3/5. 4) Bring in your work and use Exploratory Chinese class as a study hall time from Wednesday to Friday. No locker break, please.


  1. 1) Quick review (3P: 8 colors / 5P: 11 colors). (3P) Teach (fen hong se, hui se, cheng se). Return oral presentation draft. (3P: Patryk; 5P: Jarrod, Zach, Chris, Caleb, Lauren, Kaitlyn) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Take any retake before the end of this week. Move to Exploratory German on Monday, 3/9/15. 2) Read sentences #1-#10.
  2. 1) Video clips: Chinese yo-yo + Chinese Jianzi + (5P) Chinese zodiac animals. 2) (5P) Culture reading: 6 Popular Sports in China.
