Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/18/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about sport preferences and skills. 2) I can sharpen my listening comprehension skill through listening to audio files.

Homework: 1) WB page 60 section G. 2) Paragraph of sport preferences and sport skills is due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your cross-word puzzle worksheet. Return culture exit slips. 2) Quick review. 3) Writing practice.
  2. 1) Listening activity: WB pages 55 / 57 / 60 (Section F). Go over answer key.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/18/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters and Chinese calligraphy. 4) I can explore Chinese paper cutting.

Homework: 1) Review 8 Chinese characters & 18 greeting terms. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (6 characters + 14 greeting terms). 2) Teach new terms (qi li, jing li, zuo xia, qing zuo). 3) Teach new characters (moon, shui). Collect.
  2. 1) Video clips: moon / (5P) Chinese calligraphy. 2) (3P) Complete paper-cutting patterns.
  3. (5P) 1) Peer tutoring. 2) Pass out / go over Chinese paper-cut patterns. Collect as participation grade.   3) Showcase Chinese paper cutting products and four treasures of the study.
