Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/25/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name body parts in Chinese. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can sing Chinese songs. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about China through viewing an authentic movie.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Possible fire drill at 3P / 7P or 8P today. (4P) Captains check Lesson Ten character definitions / Return Lesson Nine chapter test papers / character worksheet. Makeup work (1P: Grace: oral exam / slide; 4P: Eric C., Eric W., Kerry, Evan J., Cameron, Joey, Kylie S., Jessy—oral exam; Kerry, Joey, Kaitlyn—slide; 8P: Matt—oral exam / David—slide + oral exam / Anthony—quiz).
  2. 1) Teach new characters (头, 发, 头发, 脸, 眉, 眉毛, 鼻子). 2) Song time (Where is my friend?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8VVB2Y2YWI). 3) Movie time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/25/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can recognize 20 Chinese characters.   2) I can explore Chinese folk art of origami. 3) I can understand Chinese counting principle.

Homework: 1) Review 20 Chinese characters. Quiz #2: tomorrow. 2) Review Chinese counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return your 12 character writing assignment. (3P) Possible fire drill at 3P/7P/8P today. Go over fire drill procedure. Quick review (20 characters). Makeup work (3P: Nicholas—1st origami / Harmony—writing assignment; 5P: Dashawn, Cole, Destiny, Matt). (5P) Check first origami. 2) Pass out and go over Chinese counting principle. 3) Count from zero to one hundred. 4) (5P) Retake work…
  2. 1) Showcase newspaper article about Chinese counting principle. 2) Origami time. Collect as participation grace. 3) Audio file / Video clip: numbers.
