Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/26/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name body parts in Chinese. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can sing Chinese songs. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about China through viewing an authentic movie.

Homework: 1) Practice conversation questions. 2) Know all 5 characters by next Monday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Collect $1 for dress down day. (1P / 4P) Take a number for your 4th quarter seat. 2) Quick review. 3) (1P/8P) Go over common writing mistakes. 4) Go over conversation questions handout. 5) Speed character recognition.
  2. 1) Song time. 2) Movie time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/26/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of 20 Chinese characters.   2) I can explore Chinese folk art of origami. 3) I can count from zero to nine hundred ninety nine. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese and enjoy tasting Chinese tea.

Homework: 1) Review Chinese counting principle. 2) Quiz #3 (Connecting the Dots): Thursday, 4/2/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters). 2) Count from zero to one hundred. 3) Quiz #2.
  2. 1) Origami time. Collect as participation grade. 2) (3P) Culture video: Chinese tea / abacus. Showcase abacus and tea leaves. 3) Tea time.
