Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/11/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about sports. 2) (4P/8P) I can complete typing my skit. 3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 4) (8P) I can sight read text passages and characters accurately and proficiently.

Homework: 1) Skit print out and checklist are due tomorrow. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach new characters (游泳, 跑步, 跑车,最). 4) (8P) Read text pages: 77-79. (1P) Movie time.
  2. Pair activity: 1) Complete typing your skit. 2) Conversation question practice.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/11/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand what Hanyu pinyin is. 2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 3) I can work independently or with a partner to complete China reading packet. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about China through viewing a video clip.

Homework: 1) China reading packet due at the end of class tomorrow. 2) Review learned greeting term. 3) Signature slip is due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) Any signature slips? Accelerated science track students can turn in your China reading packet in class on Friday. 2) Complete going over China Reading packet. 3) Go over Hanyu pinyin handout. 4) Teach term (Ni Hao).

2.   1) Video clip: General Introduction to China. 2) Pair / independent work: China reading packet.
