Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/16/15)


Objectives: 1) I can present a skit with a partner. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can read text passages fluently and accurately. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about popular sports in China.

Homework: 1) WB pages 56 / 62. 2) Exit slips due tomorrow, if not completed in class.


  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Makeup work (4P: Ethan M. / Jessy; Kaitlyn / Kylie V.; Joey / Ethan P.; 8P: Andrew C./Anthony; Ada). 2) Quick review. 3) Read text passages 77-79. 4) Skit presentation.
  2. 1) Make a spinning wheel. 2) Go over / practice conversation question 8-10. 3) Culture reading w/exit slips. 4) If time available, listening activity.




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/16/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters and major cities.

Homework: 1) Review 10 greeting terms and 4 Chinese characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.


  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Jasmina, Harmony; 5P: Heesung, Dylan G.). (3P) Report to room 301 for your 3P Block tomorrow. (5P) Report to room 301 for your 5P Block on Wednesday. 2) Quick review (2 characters & 6 greeting terms). 3) Teach new terms (zao, ni zao, zao an, zao shang hao). 4) Teach Chinese characters (mouth, fire)
  2. Video clips: (3P) wood + Beijing / (5P) Shanghai.
