Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/17/15)

Objectives: 1) I can read text passages fluently and accurately. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Taichi.
Homework: 1) Cross-word puzzle worksheet due tomorrow. 2) Quizlet link: http://quizlet.com/3629695/ni-hao-1-lesson-9-vocabulary-flash-cards/
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your culture articles / exit slips. 2) Captains check WB pages 56/62. Go over answer key. 3) Go over study guide. 4) Read text pages 77-79. 5) Go over text pages 82-84.
2. Conversation question Q/A + Spinning Wheel.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/17/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters, Chinese calligraphy and Chinese folk art of paper cutting. 4) I can explore paper cutting.
Homework: 1) Review 6 Chinese characters and 14 terms. 2) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (4 characters + 10 greeting terms). 2) Teach new terms (lao shi, xie xie, bu xie, bu ke qi). 3) Teach new characters (ri, ren).
2. 1) Video clips: (3P) mouth / sun / ren; (5P) / Chinese paper-cuts.
3. (3P) 1) Pass out and explore two paper cut pattern. Collect as participation grade. 2) Video clip: Chinese calligraphy / Chinese paper-cuts. 3) Showcase Chinese paper cutting products & four treasure of study.
