Procedures for 3/20/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/20/15)

Objectives: 1) I can build a sound grammar foundation. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Nine vocabulary .
Homework: 1) Lesson Nine character worksheet is due on Monday, 3/23/15. Lesson Nine Chapter test: Monday, 3/23/15. Lesson Nine oral exam: Tuesday, 3/24/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Check PB for accuracy. Return all papers (exit slips, puzzle worksheet, skit papers, sports paragraph). Makeup work (1P: Chris + Britney / Phoebe; 8P: Ada / Jareth + Maddie). (4P) Sign up your oral exam on Tuesday (lunch time on Tuesday / before or after school  study hall time: HS mentoring). 2) Quick review. 3) Go over grammar correction & scrambled sentences worksheet.
2. 1) Lesson Nine vocabulary quiz. 2) Group activity: Conversation question Q/A.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/20/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greetings in Chinese. 2) I can say / write numbers in Chinese. 3) I can pick up food with chopsticks.
Homework: 1) Review (3P) 14 / (5P) 11 Chinese characters & 26 greeting terms. 2) Quiz #1 (26 greeting terms): Monday, 3/23/15. Quiz #2 (20 characters): Thursday, 3/26/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Check PB for accuracy. Makeup work (3P: Nicholas; 5P: Dylan G., Dylan F., Aidan, Dashawn, Julia). 2) Quick review (12 characters & 22 greeting terms). 3) Teach new terms (shang ke, xia ke, dui bu qi, mei guan xi). 4) Teach new characters (3P: four, five, six; 5P: one, two, three).
2. 1) Pass out chopsticks, tissue and Cheerios. 2) Chopsticks time with Cheerios.

Objectives: 1) I can build a sound grammar foundation. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can review and prepare for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) Lesson Nine vocabulary quiz: tomorrow (3/20/15). 2) Sports slide is due at the end of Tuesday, 3/24/15.

Procedure:

1.  1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in your paragraph about sports (preferences and skills). Captains check WB page 60 Section G. Go over answer key. 2) Skit presentation. 3) Review activity: puzzles / sorting sentences. 4) Write get-well card for Mr. Auble.

2.  Pair activity: Grammar correction worksheet (#10, #17). / Scramble sentences worksheet (#29-#31). .

 

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/19/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can say/write numbers in Chinese. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese schools and Chinese silk.

Homework: 1) Review 22 greeting terms & (3P) 11 (5P) 8 Chinese characters. 2) (3P) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1. 1) Quick review (8 characters & 18 greeting terms). Turn in / Return Chinese character writing assignment. Makeup work (3P: Nicholas, Mitch). 2) Teach new terms (tong xue men hao, dong le ma, dong le, bu dong). 3) (3P) Teach new characters (one, two, three). 4) (5P) Complete two paper patterns. Collect as participation grade.
