Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (3/31/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my physical appearance. 2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese traditions through viewing an authentic movie. 4) I can name body parts in Chinese.

Homework: Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Martial art lesson tomorrow. Wear something loose and comfortable (sweatpants, tennis shoes; girls, tie your long hair). 2) Quick review. 3) Writing practice. 4) Introduce / go over Lesson Ten Supplementary Terms handout.
  2. 1) Pair activity: conversation question practice. 2) Go over Body Parts Supplementary Terms handout. 3) Movie time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (3/31/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project through viewing student work samples. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions.

Homework: 1) Quiz #3: Thursday, 4/2/15. 2) Practice sounding out oral presentation sentences #1-#3.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (10 characters). 2) Teach new terms (jia, you, ge ren). 3) Write sentence #3. 4) Read sentences #1-#3.
  2. 1) Go over art project handout. 2) Showcase art project samples (drawing).
  3. 1) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese early inventions. 2) Culture video clips: papers / compass.
