Procedures for 4/21/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/21/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can create PPT slides to describe my physical appearance and my friend. 2) I can introduce myself verbally. 3) (1P/4P) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Physical description paragraph & friend slides are due by the end of today. 2) Lesson Ten chapter test: Thursday, 4/23/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Ms. Chang collects WB & PPT slide checklist. Makeup work / quiz (1P: Jaeyoung, Chris, Guenever; 4P: Cameron, Evan J., Evan B., Julia; 8P: Ada, Maddie).
  2. (1P/4P) 1) (Jeremy, Ben, Leon, Julai, Joey, Eric W., Kaitlyn) talk to Ms. Chang for special task. While Ms. Chang conducts some presentation task, you should complete your slides with body parts description / friend with digital pictures / practice conversation questions / play interactive game by clicking I drive, Chang folder, click Ni Hao games-anuary 2015 folder, Ni Hao 1 Games 3E, Ni Hao 1 GAMES to play Ni Nao interactive game to review Lesson 10.
  3. (8p) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam ó 1) Complete your slides with body parts description / friend with digital pictures. 2) Practice conversation questions for your oral exam. 4) Play Ni Hao 1 interactive game. Click I drive, Chang folder, click Ni Hao games-anuary 2015 folder, Ni Hao 1 Games 3E, Ni Hao 1 GAMES to play Ni Nao interactive game to review Lesson 10.
  4. Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/21/15)

Objectives: 1) I will know the importance of learning Chinese and other world languages in America. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chines meal time customs, international food / drink franchises in China, and Chinese zodiac animals.

Homework: 1) Art project is due tomorrow. 2) Oral presentation starts on Thursday, 4/23/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Bring in your work to do tomorrow. No locker break. 2) Makeup work—draft #2 (3P: Valerie, Brian; 5P: Dashawn). 2) Video clips: Chinese program in American schools / bilingual Cat / Be Tough / Barking Fish. 3) Go over current Chinese I class roster.
  2. 1) Video clips: hot pot / dumpling. 2) Culture reading: Chinese meal time customs / international food and drink franchise in China / Chinese zodiac animals.
  3. Practice Chinese direction terms for Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
