Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/22/15)

 

Objectives: 1) (1P/4P) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Cook, Chinese Meal time customs, and Chinese table etiquettes. 3) (8P) I can introduce myself verbally. 4) (8P) I can prepare for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) Lesson Ten character worksheet due tomorrow. 2) Lesson Ten chapter test: tomorrow. 3) Three exit slips. Due on Friday. 4) Grammar correct worksheet (#7, #10, #11, #18, #19) + Scrambled sentences worksheet (#32-#42): due on Friday, 4/24/15. 5) Study kite-making pdf file and brainstorm ideas for your kite.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Makeup work (1P: Britney, Christy). (4P) Names for not turning in PPT slides checklist / incomplete PPT slides / Jeremy, Ben, and Leon talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) (1P/4P) Questions on oral exam (8 questions)? .
  2. (1P/4P) While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam ó students can 1) practice conversation questions, 2) work on exit slips, 3) read the kite pdf file that Ms. Chang e-mails to your account, 4) work on grammar correction worksheet and scrambled sentences worksheet, and 5) work on writing practice problems.
  3. (8P) 1) Report PPT slides / checklist status. Return WB + quiz papers + culture reading packet. 2) Read text pages 85-87. 3) Go over text pages 91-92. 4) Summary of physical description sentence patterns. 5) Highlight and go over supplementary materials handout. óPresentational speaking task.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/22/15)

Objectives: I can apply what I have learned in Chinese class to create an art project. Homework: Practice your oral presentation sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Sign up your number for tomorrow’s oral presentation. 2) While Ms. Chang checks on each student’s art project ó Practice oral presentation. + Work on your homework assignment / prepare your other tests / quizzes. 3) Clean up your Chinese folder and return color flash cards, handouts, culture reading articles, etc.
  2. 1) Present your project / circulate your work, if interested. 2) Take pictures of sample art project, if interested.
