Procedures for 4/24/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/24/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sight read characters fluently and accurately. 2) I can express my needs for food and drink. 3) I can gain cultural and historical knowledge about Chinese kites.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Read Kite-making pdf file over the weekend and brainstorm ideas for your kite.  3) Know 5 learned characters by Monday, 4/27/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Turn in culture exit slips. Captains check character definitions / grammar correction worksheet / scrambled sentences worksheet. 2) Speed character recognition. 3) Go over answer key to Grammar Correction worksheet.
2. 1) Teach (饿, 吃, 渴, 喝, 想). 2) Video clip: Kites. 3) Return Lesson Ten chapter test papers + ask for retake application form.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/24/15)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) (5P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese kites. 3) (5P) I can play game in Chinese.
Homework: N/A
Procedure:
1. 1) Rotate to Exploratory German on Monday, 4/27/15. Makeup work (3P: Valerie; 5P: Dashawn, Dylan G., Cory). 2) Complete oral presentation. 3) While Ms. Chang checks on each student’s art project  Practice oral presentation. + Work on your other homework assignment / prepare your other tests / quizzes / Browse through Chinese cookbooks.
2. 1) Presentation (5P: Hithesh + Parker). Take pictures of (Mary + Destiny + Heesung). Showcase art project pictures from this rotation. 2) Final review of learned Chinese terms. 3) Video clip: Kites. 4) (5P) Game time: Follow the leader.
