Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/29/15)


Objectives: 1) I can design and make my kite. 2) I can express my likes and dislikes of food and drink.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Complete your kite by the end of this week.


  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (4P: Jeremy, Ben, Leon, Kaitlyn, Evan B.) report to Ms. Chang at 6P tomorrow. (4P: Kaitlyn) reports to Ms. Chang at 6P today. 2) Teach new characters (堡, 汉堡包, 治, 三明治, 热, 热狗, 炒, 饭,炒饭, 炒菜, 白饭, 米饭, 吃饭, 吃早饭, 吃午饭, 吃中饭, 吃晚饭, 做饭).
  2. Design / Draw your kite ó (4P) IPA Presentational Speaking task.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/29/15)


Objectives: 1) I can understand what Hanyu pinyin is. 2) I can work independently or with a partner to complete China reading packet. 3) I can gain knowledge about major cities in China through viewing video clips.

Homework: 1) China reading packet due at the beginning of the class period tomorrow. 2) Signature slip is due tomorrow.


1. 1) Any signature slips? Makeup work (3P: Jay, Caitlyn). 2) (5P) Video clip: Beijing / Shanghai; (3P) Video clip: Shanghai. 3) Go over Hanyu pinyin handout.

  1. Pair / independent work: China reading packet.
