Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/30/15)

Objectives: 1) I can design and create a kite. 2) I can reinforce my Chinese interpretive reading skill through viewing authentic commercials.
Homework: 1) Know 15 Chinese characters by tomorrow. 2) Finish up your kite.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) Quick review. 3) Interesting YouTube video clips: (Kobe) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_LA_HrCEeQ, (Pepsi) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40DykbPa4Lc, (McDonald fries) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBAF65omIs4 / Jack Barchet’s Chinese yoyo performance.
2. Finish making your kite  (4P: Kerry, Ethan M., Ethan P., Delandee, Cameron, Julia, Joey, Kylie S.) IPA Presentational Speaking Task.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/30/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say/comprehend greeting terms in Chinese. 2) (3P) I can write simple Chinese characters.
Homework: 1) Quiz #1: Monday, 5/11/15. 2) Review learned greeting terms. 3) (3P) Chinese character writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Any signature slip? Turn in your China reading packet. 2) Complete Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin. 3) Teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni shi, wo shi, Lao Shi).
2. 1) Pass out / introduce square paper. 2) (3P) Teach Chinese characters (mountain, wood).
