Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (4/20/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Ten vocabulary. 2) (8P) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 3) (1P/4P) I can prepare for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) WB page 67. 2) (1P / 4P) Lesson Ten chapter test—oral exam moves to Wednesday. (8P) Lesson Ten chapter test—oral exam tomorrow. 3) Physical description paragraph & friend slides are due at the end of tomorrow, 4/21/15. 4) Chapter test: Thursday, 4/23/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Make sure you have chapter test study guide (1P: Jaeyoung; 4P: Kylie V.; 8P: Ada, Maggie, Maddie); 2) (HR) 8th Grade Lunches @ High School: Monday, 4/20: A – D / Tuesday, 4/21: E – Ib / Wednesday, 4/22: Ig – Milos / Thursday, 4/23: Milose – Sok / Friday, 4/24: Sop – Z. Meet at the back door by the cafeteria (near girls’ locker room) immediately following 5th period. 3) Makeup work (1P: Jaeyoung / Chris / Phoebe; 4P: Evan B., Kaitlyn, Joey / Hanna H. (IPA interpersonal), Eric W., Jeremy, Ben, Leon; Julia / Kylie S. / Lili / Leon, Kerry; 8P: Maddie / Ada / Jonathan) talk to Ms. Chang / report to Ms. Chang at 6P today. 4) (4P) Sign up your oral exam time.
  2. 1) Captains check WB pages 63 / 66 assignments. (1P/4P) Go over answer key. 2) Listening activity: WB page 64. Go over answer key. 3) (1P/4P) Read text pages 85-87. 4) (1P/4P) Go over text pages 91-92. 5) (1P/4P) Summary of physical description sentence patterns. 6) (1P/4P) Writing practice.
  3. 1) Lesson Ten vocabulary quiz. 2) (8P) Conversation questions Q/A.

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (4/20/15)

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese food and (5P) international food/drink franchises in China. 2) I can prepare for my oral presentation.    

Homework: Bring in a book or homework to do on Wednesday-Friday. Use class time as study hall, please.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return quiz papers. Makeup work (3P: Valerie, Cole, Brian, Ali, Mary; 5P: Dylan G., Destiny, Dashawn, Matt); 2) Read oral presentation sentences. 3) Showcase Chinese artifacts: tea set / mahjong / chess set. 4) Showcase sample art projects (video, singing).

2.   1) Video clips: tofu / roast duct / noodles. 2) (5P) Culture reading: International Food and Drink franchises in China.
