Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (5/13/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name common food items. 2) I can showcase my mastery of recognizing Chinese characters. 3) I can prepare for my skit presentation.

Homework: 1) Skit presentation: tomorrow. 2) Chinese character writing assignment. 3) WB pages 69 / 77 / 79.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Daily greeting routine. Makeup work—skit (1P: Alena, Christy; 4P: Liliana, Ethan P. / Evan J., Joey, Ethan M. / Jack). 2) Captains check on WB pages 73/76. Go over answer key. 3) Teach characters (柠檬, 莱姆, 柠檬汁, 柠檬水, 片, 名片, 鸡片, 肉片, 生鱼片, 炸, 虾, 龙虾, 炸鸡, 炸鱼片,炸虾片).
  2. While Ms. Chang is assessing your character recognition ó 1) Read over study guide. 2) WB pages assignment. 3) Practice skit presentation. 4) Practice conversation questions.

 

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (5/13/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand Chinese counting principle. 2) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese finger guessing game and lucky and lucky numbers. 3) I can explore Chinese finger guessing game.

Homework: 1) Review Chinese counting principle. 2) Review 20 characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return writing assignment. Makeup work (3P: Niko/Annie, Piper, Hailey—quiz + writing; 5P: 8th grade + patterns). Quick review (12 number characters). 2) Go over Chinese counting principle / number table. 3) Counting from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese Lucky and unlucky numbers / Finger Guessing Game. 2) Game time. 3) Pass out colored papers for origami tomorrow.
