Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (5/28/15)

Objectives: 1) (1P) I can sharpen my listening skill through viewing an authentic movie. 2) (1P) I can polish my reading fluency through chanting activity. 3) I can gain knowledge about panda’s growing cycle. 4) (4P / 8P) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.
Homework: 1) Study your final. 2) Practice your PPT presentation.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. 2) PPT presentation: A Cute Panda Baby. 3) (1P) Go over Chinese dishes menu.
2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral exam  1) Practice your oral exam conversation questions. 2) Work on writing problems. 3) Study for your final. Questions????
3. (1P) 1) Chanting time. 2) Movie time!!

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (5/28/15)

Objectives: 1) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and Chinese yo-yo. 2) I can practice my oral presentation. I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.
Homework: Use Wednesday-Friday, 6/3-6/5, as study hall next week.
Procedure:
1. 1) Return oral presentation draft#2 & quiz #4 papers. Makeup quiz (3P: Haily, Karen; 5P: Lana). Makeup work (3P: Hailey; 5P: Ian, Spencer, Micaiah, Jordan). 2) Read sentences #1-#10.
2. 1) Video clips: Chinese zodiac animals / Chinese yo-yo. 2) Culture reading: The legend of giant pandas / (3P) 12 Chinese zodiac animals. Q/A. 3) Showcase Chinese artifacts (chess, mahjong, Chinese yo-yo, tea sets).
