Procedures for 6/8/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 4P / 8P (6/8/15)

Objectives: 1) I can self-assess my growth in learning Chinese. 2) I can provide my feedback to Ms. Chang regarding my learning experiences in Chinese I class. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about China through viewing an authentic movie. 4) (1P) I can have fun playing games.
Homework: 1) Download your eWork, please. 2) Please check your e-mail account for a list of websites and YouTube videos for summer review.
Procedure:
1. 1) Daily greeting routine. (HR) Pass out Kick-It T-shirt. Put it into your locker right away, please. 2) Take home your kite. Return Ms. Chang green string handle, if not needed, please. 3) Review pictures from Chinese yo-yo and jian zi. (4P) Return Kite-making project checklist. 5) Return your textbook, please.
2. 1) Go over 3rd and 4th quarters’ self-assessment + Complete Chinese I end-of-the year survey. 2) Movie time. 3) Game time.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P / 5P (6/8/15)

Objectives: 1) I can understand the importance of learning a world language and the significance of learning Chinese in American schools. 2) I can gain. 3) I can.
Homework: N/A
Procedure:
1. 1) Makeup quiz (3P: Jay, Niko; 5P: Juliana—quiz #1 / oral presentation, Ian). Any one is interested in retake of oral presentation? 2) View pictures of art project from current sections and pictures from Chinese yo-yo, jianzi and kites in Chinese I class.
2. 1) Video clips: (5P) Bilingual Cat / (5P) Barking Fish / Being Tough / Chinese program in Chinese school / Kites / Abacus. Showcase kite and abacus. 2) Culture reading: Dress Code and Etiquette in Chinese Schools / Student life outside the Classroom / Social Networking in China.
