Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (8/24/15)

Objectives: 1) I can write my Chinese name correctly. 2) I can say/understand greeting terms and classroom expressions and Hanyu pinyin. 3) I can utilize website resources to help me learn Chinese.
Homework: 1) Open house: 7-8:30 pm, Thursday, 8/27/15. School supplies are due on Wednesday, 8/26/15. Signature slip is due tomorrow, 8/25. Chinese name writing assignment is due on Wednesday, 8/26/15. Quiz #1: Chinese name, Monday, 8/27/15. Test #1 (greeting and classroom expression terms + China reading packets): Friday, 9/4/15. 2) Bookmark these two sites for your netbook and home computer which is used for work and gaming with gaming sites that offer lol coaching, and with the best mouse for wow and other hardware.
Procedure:
1. 1) Opening routine.  Get / log on to your netbook and set aside.   2) Hold to PB password for tasks in the future. Turn in your signature slip. 3) Label your marker and sock in the zipper bag. Claim your textbook and sign in the Textbook Inventory sheet. Update your school supplies record. 4) (3P: Derrick; 9P: George, Julia, Evan) talk to Ms. Chang, please.
2. 1) Explain Chinese name writing assignment format. 2) Introduce / go over  / bookmark two website resources: www.mdbg.net  (typing Chinese characters, Chinese pinyin and dictionary for meaning and stroke order) and https://chinese.yabla.com/chinese-pinyin-chart.php  (for pronunciation and tone). Create a Chinese folder in your e-mail account. Move all e-mails from Ms. Chang to this folder, please!!.
3. 1)Action time: Review 6 classroom expression terms (qi li, jing li, qing zuo, ting wo shuo, gen wo shuo, qing ni shuo). 2) (8P) Review 2 greeting terms (ni hao, ni shi).

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (8/24/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I know what Hanyu pinyin is and its rules. 3) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Signature slip is due tomorrow. Test #1 (Greeting Terms /Classroom Expression): Friday, 9/4/15. 2) Review 5 Greeting terms and Hanyu pinyin rules. 3) Complete writing 1 row of Chinese character.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Get a copy of handout (20 Chinese characters). Any signature slip? Makeup work (3P: Donovan talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review (Ni Hao). 3) Teach new greeting terms (Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, Lao Shi Hao). Practice time.
  2. 1) Go over Introduction to Chinese hanyu pinyin handout (the other side of Greeting Terms/Classroom Expressions handout). 2) Go over the structure of Chinese 20 Chinese characters handout. 2) Pass out / go over the structure of square paper worksheete. 3) Teach Chinese characters (6P: 山; 7P: 口).
