Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (8/26/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) I can gain geographical / political knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review 15 learned greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) First China reading packet due in class tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Any late signature slip? (3P: Derrick) talk to Ms. Chang, please. Get a netbook, log in, and set aside. Turn in your Chinese name writing assignment. Return papers / Ask Ms. Chang for clarification. Reward to students who scored 6 out of 6 yesterday. 2) Claim your textbook and sign in the textbook inventory sheet. Label your ziplock bag for marker and sock.
  2. 1) Review Introduction to Chinese Language and Characters handout Sections I / II. 2) Teach 4 new terms (zao, ni zao, zao an, zao shang hao).
  3. 1) Pass out / go over 1st set of China reading packet. 2) Ms. Chang checks your school supplies while you work on your first China reading packet.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (8/26/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend Chinese greeting terms / classroom expressions.   2) I can gain geographical knowledge about China. 3) I can complete a China reading packet.

Homework: 1) Review 12 learned greeting terms & 3 learned Chinese characters. 2) China reading packet is due tomorrow, 8/27/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of handout, please. 2) Quick review 8 learned greeting terms & 3 characters. 3) Teach 4 new terms (Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Video time: Introduction to China. 2) Go over China reading packet. 3) Independent work / Pair work: Chinese reading packet.
