Procedures for MS I 3P / 8P (8/31/15)

Objectives: 1) I can write my Chinese name by heart. 2) I can say and comprehend greeting terms / classroom expressions. 3) I can prepare for my test #1 through going over study guide. 4) I can learn to utilize Virtual Classroom activities. 5) (3P) I can blend and discriminate consonants and vowels.

Homework: 1) Quiz #2 (pronunciation of greeting terms / classroom expressions + compound vowels (1) handout): Friday, 9/11/15. 2) Review learned greeting terms / classroom expressions. 3) (3P) Review learned ai section (4 terms)

Procedures:

  1. 1) Opening routine. (8P) Reward time. 2) Turn in your Zhen Bang China reading packet. Take one copy of handout. Take a netbook, log into your e-mail account, and set aside.
  2. 1) Quiz #1. 2) Open / go over study guide document from your e-mail. 3) Teach (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong). 4) Try VC activity.
  3. (3P) Go over Compound Vowels (1) ai section (4 terms).

 

 

Procedures for Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (8/31/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend greeting terms / classroom expressions. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.

Homework: 1) Review 23 learned terms & 8 Chinese characters. 2) Chinese character writing assignment is due in class. 3) Finish cutting your patterns, if not done in class.

Procedures:

  1. 1) Take one copy of paper pattern. Return your China reading packet. Reward time. 2) (6P: Izzy, Bela, Carter; 7P: Kali, Desiree, Carson, Nate): talk to Ms. Chang, please.
  2. 1) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo). 2) Teach Chinese character (moon). Collect.
  3. Complete two paper-cut papers. Collect as grade.
