Procedures for 9/1/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (9/1/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and comprehend basic greeting terms and classroom expressions. 2) I can say my classmates’ Chinese name. 3) (3P) I can gain historical, political and cultural knowledge about 2 special administrative regions (special districts) in China through viewing videos. 4) I can blend and discriminate consonants / vowels.

Homework: 1) Review all learned greeting terms & classroom expressions. 2) Practice pronouncing names of your classmates. 3) Review learned compound vowels ai / ao sections. Daily dictation starts from tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Reward time! Return your China reading packet and quiz #1 papers. (3P: Zachary R.)—special treat. (8P: George, Kevin R., Oliver, Hailey) talk to Ms. Chang, pleases. 2) Go over Student Survey result.
  2. 1) Teach 3 new terms (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Tong Xue Men Hao). 2) (3P) Video clips: Hong Kong / Macao. 3) Go over ai / ao sections.
  3. Pronunciation time (name of entire class).

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (9/1/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend basic greeting terms / classroom expressions.   2) I can write simple Chinese number characters. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about chopsticks and understand how Chinese characters evolve through viewing videos. 4) I can have fun using chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: 1) Review all 26 learned terms and 10 Chinese characters. 2) Complete writing number character assignment. 3) Test #2 (20 Chinese characters): Friday, 9/11/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return your character writing assignment. Show Ms. Chang your paper-cutting patterns for grades. (6P: Bela; 7P: Desiree) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Teach 3 new terms (dui bu qi, mei guan xi, tong xue men hao). 4) Teach number characters (one, two).
  2. 1) Video time: chopsticks / Chinese characters (mouth, fish). 2) Chopsticks time.
