Procedures for 9/4/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (9/4/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of greeting terms, classroom expressions and knowledge about China. 2) (8P) I can blend and discriminate consonants and vowels. Homework: 1) (8P) Review ie / ia sections. 2) Practice speaking (unit #1 greeting terms / classroom expressions / ai, ao, ei, ou). 3) Quiz #2: Friday, 9/11/15 (Compound Vowels (1): MC, writing down blending w/tones, pronunciation of syllables + greeting terms / classroom expressions)

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. No school on next Monday (9/7/15). 2) Questions?
  2. 1) Test #1. 2) (8P) Teach compound vowels (ie / ia sections).


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (9/4/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of greeting terms and classroom expressions.   2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese rock, scissors, and paper game. 3) I can have fun playing Chinese rock, scissors and paper game.

Homework: Test #2 (20 Chinese characters): Friday, 9/11.

Procedure:

  1. 1) No school on next Monday (Labor Day). Quick review (26 terms + 14 characters). 2) Teach two Chinese characters (nine, ten). 3) Test #1.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Rock, Scissors, Paper game. 2) Tournament time. 3) Showcase Chinese traditional artifacts (brush pens, ink stone / ink stick, paint sticks, xuan papers).
