Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (9/14/15)


Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of compound vowels (1) materials. 2) I can sharpen my listening comprehension through playing interactive game. 3) I can gain linguistic knowledge about various tones in Chinese.

Homework: N/A


  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one netbook, turn on and activate a browser. 2) Quiz #2.
  2. While Ms. Chang works with individual students in speaking part, you can 1) play tone game with & 2) Watch YouTube videos: (The First Tone, Newbie Essentials, 1:10), (The Second Tone, Newbie Essentials, 1:20), (The Third Tone, Newbie Essentials, 1:21), (The Fourth Tone, Newbie Essentials, 1:11), (Newbie—Tones One Through Four, 1:55) and (The Four Tones in Use—Newbie Essentials: 2:08).




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (9/14/15)


Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.   2) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 3) I can explore origami. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese early inventions.

Homework: 1) Practice speaking sentences #1-#2. 2) Review 10 Chines number characters and counting principle.


  1. 1) Take one copy of oral presentation handout. Return Test #2 papers. (6P: Jeff; 7P: Desiree) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Counting from zero to one hundred. 3) Go over oral presentation handout. 4) Teach new term (sui). 5) Write sentences #1-#2.
  2. 1) Video clips: Compass / Papers / Printing. 2) Work on origami products #1-#2.
