Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (9/17/15)
Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels, and tones. 2) I can solve math equations in Chinese. 3) (3P) I can type Chinese characters and pinyin with Internet utility.
Homework: 1) Complete Chinese character writing assignment. Know three operators (4 characters) by next Monday, 9/21/15. 2) Review y and w sections. 3) Quiz #3 (numbers): tomorrow Quiz #4 (compound vowels (2)): Tuesday, 9/22/15.
Procedure:
- 1) Opening routine. Take one netbook, turn it on, and activate a browser. (3P: Jackson, Jacob, Camille, Luke, Kaitlyn; 8P: Hailey, Julia, Kevin R., Conor) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Dictation (un, uan + phone numbers). Speaking (phone numbers), Conversion of 2-digit numbers.
- 1) Teach (y, w) sections. 2) (3P) Go over typing instructions for assignment in class tomorrow. 3) Teach (加, 减, 等于).
Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (9/17/15)
Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals, Chinese yo-yo and Chinese martial arts. 3) I can complete two origami products.
Homework: N/A.
Procedure:
- 1) Return Quiz #1 papers. (6P: Donovan, Jack, Devin, Justin; 7P: Jasper, Kali, Malina, Corey, Katie) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (reading sentences #1-#5). Collect.
- 1) Video clips: Chinese zodiac animals + Chinese yo-yo and Chinese martial arts. Showcase Chinese yo-yo. 3) Complete origami product #2. Collect as participation grade.
