Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (9/29/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can greet my classmates, teacher and new acquaintances in Chinese and in a culturally appropriate manner. 2) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels and tones accurately and proficiently.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. Know these five characters by Thursday, 10/1/15. 2) Review (ian, uan) sections.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one copy of Back Nasal Sounds handout. Please write Chinese name on your character writing worksheet. (3P: Zachary; 8P: Devin, Hailey) turn in your Lesson Three character worksheet, please. Captain checks Lesson Three character worksheet definitions. 2) (3P: Zachary, Justin, Dylan, Suzie, Evan, Luke; 8P: Conor, Alex, Devin, Dylan, George, Hailey, Julia) complete your flash card reading, please. 3) Dictation (un, ün). 4) Read (an, en, in, un, ün) sections.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (我, 你, 是, 好, 您). 2) Teach (ian, uan) sections. 3) (3P) Video clips: Yellow River. 4) Pair practice—mini dialogue.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (9/29/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can present my oral presentation in Chinese.   2) I can create an art project by applying what I have learned in Chinese class.

Homework: Art project is due on Thursday, 10/1/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) (7P: Christian) completes your makeup quiz, please. Get your netbook, if needed. 2) While Ms. Chang listens to individual student’s oral presentation, please use time effectively and wisely to complete your art project. If interested, you can try Chinese tangram game.
