Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (10/6/15)


Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of front and back nasal sounds. 2) I can complete a virtual classroom activity about Chinese name and greetings. 3) I can greet people in Chinese and in a culturally appropriate manner.

Homework: 1) Virtual Classroom Lesson Two Culture Knowledge worksheet is due by the end of today. 2) Know all 18 Chinese characters by tomorrow. 3) Play Lesson Two quizlet game, link:


  1. 1) Opening routine. Get a netbook, turn it on, activate a browser, and set aside. (3P: Derrick, Jacob, Katie stay for oral today; Justin, Evan: see Ms. Chang at 5P today; James, Alyssa, Camille see Ms. Chang at 8P at around 2:20; ) 2) Quiz #5.
  2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral part, please 1) complete virtual classroom activity, 2) practice your mini-dialogue, and 3) play quizlet game.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/6/15)


Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy.   2) I can understand what Hanyu Pinyin is. 3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: Review 4 learned greeting terms.


  1. 1) Any signature slip? Get a copy of Greeting Terms / Classroom Expressions / Introduction to Chinese Hanyu Pinyin handout. 2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.
  2. 1) Introduce / go over greeting terms handout. 2) Teach (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian).
