Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (10/20/15)


Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels and tones. 2) I can ask and answer questions about identification, ages and dates in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Review (h, j) sections.


  1. 1) Opening routine. 2) Dictation (g, k) section. 3) Writing practice. 4) Teach (h, j) sections.
  2. 1) Teach (祝, 生, 日, 快, 乐, 学生, 生日, 快乐). 2) Oral practice.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/20/15)


Objectives: 1) I can prepare for test #2 tomorrow.   2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy. 3) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Study for your test #2 tomorrow. Turn in your 12 characters writing assignment tomorrow. 2) Review Chinese counting principle.


  1. 1) Return Test #1 papers. Take one copy of Chinese Counting Principle handout. (6P) Teach (零). 2) Test #2 simulation. 3) Audio / Number rapping. 4) Teach Chinese counting principle. 5) Count from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Video clips: Calligraphy. 2) Showcase Chinese artifacts (Four Treasures of Study, Chinese publications, & Chinese paper-cut products).
