Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (10/30/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of gkhjqx consonants. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test through culture reading and virtual classroom activities. 3) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels and tones.

Homework: 1) Lesson Four chapter test oral part: Tuesday, 11/3/15. 2) Lesson Four chapter test: Wednesday, 11/4/15. 3) Play quizlet vocabulary game, http://quizlet.com/3629488/ni-hao-1-lesson-4-vocabulary-flash-cards/. 4) Quiz #8 (zh, ch, sh, r, c, s, z) oral part: Thursday, 11/5/15. 5) Type your exit slip independently or in pairs with 4 questions from textbook pages 28-31.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one netbook, turn it on, activate the browser, and set aside. 2) Dictation (c, s). 3) Quiz #7. 4) VC: Listening activity. 5) Video clip: Chinese birthday celebration.
  2. While Ms. Chang completes conducting oral part, you can 1) Complete 2 VC activities. 2) Pair activity: Read text pages 28-31 and generate 4 questions. 3) Oral exam Q/A + modeling.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/30/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name colors in Chinese.   2) I can understand the requirements for my art project. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals and the legend of giant pandas. 4) I can enjoy playing rock, scissors, and paper game in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned color terms. 2) Brainstorm ideas for your art project topics / medium.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return oral presentation draft #1. Makeup work (6P: Catie, Joe, Breanna; 7P: Christian, Matt). 2) Quick review (sibling terms + 4 colors). 3) Teach (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese zodiac animals. 2) Culture reading: The legend of giant panda. 3) Go over art project requirements. 4) Finger guessing game tournament.
