Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (10/15/15)

Objectives: 1) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels and tones. 2) I can identify people and ask their age and say dates in Chinese. 3) I can understand requirements for my skit. 4) I can explore/read authentic Chinese newspaper.
Homework: 1) Review (n, l) sections. 2) Oral quiz (bpmf, dtnl): Monday, 10/19/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Opening routine. Take one copy of Lessons 2-4 skit checklist. 2) Character speed recognition. 3) Dictation.
2. 1) Teach (n, l) sections. 2) Go over skit checklist. 3) Go over English / Chinese date format. 4) Pair activity: Chinese newspaper activity.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/15/15)

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my test on next Monday. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper-cuts.
Homework: 1) Test #1: Monday, 10/19/15. 2) Review 27 learned Chinese terms + 17 learned Chinese characters. 3) Complete writing assignment.
Procedure:
1. 1) Quick review (14 Chinese characters). 3) Test #1 simulation.
2. 1) Teach w new Chinese characters (七, 八, 九). 2) Complete paper-cutting patterns.
