Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (10/19/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can create a skit with a partner by applying what I have learned in Lessons 2, 3, and 4. 2) I can blend and discriminate consonants, vowels and tones.

Homework: 1) Review (g, k) sections. 2) Know all nine characters by tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one copy of gkhjqx handout. 2) Read (d, t, n, l) sections. 3) Teach (g, k) sections.
  2. While Ms. Chang conducts oral quiz session, you can work with a partner on your skit.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/19/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of greeting terms / classroom expressions.   2) I can gain cultural knowledge about chopsticks and have fun using chopsticks to pick up Cheerios. 3) I can say / write Chinese number characters. 4) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper-cuts.

Homework: Study for your test #2 (20 Chinese characters) Wednesday, 10/21/15. 2) Complete writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (27 terms). 2) Test #1. 3) Teach Chinese characters (十, 百, 零).
  2. 1) Video: Chopsticks. 2) Chopsticks practice. 3) Complete paper-cutting activity. Collect as participation grade.
