Procedures for 11/12/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (11/12/15)

 Objectives: 1) I can sight read characters, multi-syllable terms and pinyin sentences fluently and accurately. 2) I can ask and answer questions in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Quiz #9 (multi-syllable reading): tomorrow, 11/13/15. 2) Practice reading pinyin sentences #1-#24.


  1. 1) Opening routine. Any field trip permission slip? All retake application for has to turn in by the end of tomorrow. (3P: Alyssa, Serena) take your quiz #9 by the end of the class period. 2) Showcase field trip pictures from previous years. Lunch menu will be e-mailed to you over the weekend. 3) (3P) Share information about Summer Bridge Camp and HSK. 4) Introduce textbook structure.
  2. 1) Quick review (characters + sentences #1-#18). 2) Teach sentences #19-#24. 4) (3P) Read text pages 32-34.
  3. Pair activities: 1) Oral conversation modeling. 2) Read multi-syllable handout. 3) Read pinyin sentences.





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (11/12/15)

 Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can create an art project with what I have learned in Chinese class. 3) (7P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese hacky sack.    

Homework: N/A


  1. 1) Complete oral presentation. 2) While Ms. Chang collects / checks your art project, please do other homework by following school policy.
  2. 1) Interested in presentation? 2) Picture time. 3) (7P) Video clip: Chinese hacky sack.
