Procedures for 11/13/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (11/13/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can review vocabulary for Chinese school supplies and gain cultural knowledge about birthday celebrations through virtual classroom activities. 2) I can sight read multi-syllable terms fluently and accurately. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about China and Chinese characters through viewing enrichment video clips.

Homework: 1) Test #5 (Review Sounds1): Monday, 11/16/15. 2) Lesson Five vocabulary quiz: Thursday, 11/19/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one set of Review Sounds2 handout. Take one netbook, turn it on, and set aside. Any field trip permission slip? Any retake application form? (8P) Summer Bridge camp application form. (3P: Katie, Jacob, Camille, Evan, Justin) come for your quiz at your study hall time? 2) Go over checklist for Pinyin sentences oral exam.
  2. Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (11/13/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand the importance of acquiring a world language and Chinese in current world. 2) (7P) I can self-assess my growth in Chinese learning through a post-assessment. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese martial arts (with weaspons) and hacky sack through viewing video clips. 4) I can showcase my creativity in my art project.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Rotate to German class (#116) next Monday. Makeup work (6P: Connor, Evie, Catie; 7P: Mary). 2) Showcase student work (video + drawings + pictures; 7P: Stephen, Marina). 3) Is anyone interested in presenting your art project?
  2. 1) Promoting world language learning (barking fish / bilingual cat / Be tough). 2) Promoting Chinese language learning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAvw1XmF8rQ (Why is Obama’s daughter learning Chinese?). 3) (7P) Post-assessment.
