Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (11/16/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently and accurately. 2) I can gain cultural knowledge through virtual classroom activities. 3) I can ask and answer conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. Know all characters for vocabulary quiz on Thursday, 11/19/15. 2) Practice reading Review Sounds2 handout sentences #1-#6. 3) Test #6 (Review Sounds2 reading): Monday, 11/23/15. 4) Link to Quizlet Lesson Five vocabulary: http://quizlet.com/17074732/ni-hao-1-5-flash-cards/.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Any field trip permission slip? Ms. Chang e-mailed you and your parent menu and Summer Bridge Camp over the weekend. Let Ms. Chang know if you are interested in taking the test. Turn in field trip permission slip by this Wednesday. Fill in information about your lunch order by Friday. Makeup work (7P: Adam, Serena, Alyssa; 8P: Julia)—virtual classroom activities. (3P: Evan, Jacob, Derrick, Justin, Camille, Alyssa) come at 4P / 5P / 8P to complete your oral exam.
  2. 1) Teach characters (橡, 皮, 知, 道, 概, 大概). 2) Teach sentences #1-#6.
  3. While Ms. Chang conducts oral test, you can 1) complete 3 virtual classroom activities, 2) prepare and get ready for your turn, play quiz vocabulary quiz, and 4) Practice oral conversation questions.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (10/5/15)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and routine. 2) I can work on a student survey.
Homework: Signature slip due on Thursday, 11/19/15.
Procedure:
1. 1) Sit on your assigned seat. 2) Check your team assignment. 3) Go over Ms. Chang’s classroom (handouts/homework/supplies) / opening routine + daily blog.
2. 1) Please take a netbook (same number as your class number), turn it on, and set aside. 2) Pass out / Go over Ms. Chang’s classroom rule. 2) Work on Student Survey.
