Procedures for 11/17/15

Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (11/17/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently and accurately. 2) I can ask and answer conversation questions. 3) I can create a skit with a partner.

Homework: 1) Practice reading Review Sounds2 handout sentences 1-12. 2) Skit is due on next Monday, 11/23/15.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Opening routine. Any field trip permission slip? Fill in your lunch order selection. Take one copy of skit checklist. (3P: Siena, Derrick, Daniel, Justin, Evan; 8P: Dylan, Michael, Kevin W.) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Quick review (sentences #1-#6). 3) Teach sentences #7-#12. 4) Oral conversation modeling.
  2. While Ms. Chang completes Review Sounds1 oral exam, you can 1) complete all your missed VC assignments, 2) study your vocabulary, or 3) work with a new partner on your skit.

 


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (11/17/15)

 

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s grading policy.   2) I can complete Student Inventory. 3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: Review 4 learned greeting terms (ni hao, lao shi, ni shi, wo shi).

Procedure:

  1. 1) (6P: Joe; 7P: McKenna) talk to Mrs. Cerrato, please. Take a netbook (same as your class number), turn it on and set aside. Any signature slip? Get a copy of Greeting Terms / Classroom Expressions / Introduction to Chinese Hanyu Pinyin handout. 2) Go over Ms. Chang’s grading policy.
  2. 1) Complete Student Inventory. 2) Introduce / go over greeting terms handout. 3) Teach (Ni Hao, Lao Shi, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).
