Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (11/18/15)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently and accurately. 2) I can sharpen my listening comprehension ability through a VC activity. 3) I can create a skit with a partner. 4) I can ask and answer conversation questions.
Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment. 2) Link to Quizlet Lesson Five vocabulary: 3) Lesson Five vocabulary quiz: tomorrow.
1. 1) Opening routine. Get a netbook, turn it on, activate a browser, and set aside. Last day for your field trip permission slip. Fill in your lunch order, please. 2) Quick review (sentences #1-#12). 3) Teach sentences #13-#17.
2. 1) Teach (小, 客气, 不客气, 生气, 客人, 小气, 天气, 大气, 请客). 2) Oral conversation modeling. 3) VC activity time. 4) Skit time.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (11/18/15)

Objectives: 1) I can say / comprehend simple Chinese greeting terms. 2) I can write simple Chinese characters. 3) I can understand how Chinese characters developed over the years through viewing video clips.
Homework: 1) Signature slip is due tomorrow. 2) Test #1 (Greeting Terms /Classroom Expression): Monday, 12/7/15. 3) Review 9 Greeting terms. 4) Complete writing assignment.
1. 1) Get a copy of handout (20 Chinese characters). Any signature slip? Makeup work (6P: Thomas, Sydney, Dominic, Daniel; 7P: Erika) talks to Ms. Chang, please. 2) Review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi). 3) Teach new greeting terms (Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao).
2. 1) Pass out / go over square paper. 2) Go over the structure of Chinese 20 Chinese characters handout. 3) Teach Chinese characters (山, (7P)口). 4) (8P) Video clips: (tree/wood, mouth, and fish).
