Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (12/10/15)


Objectives: 1) I can write and talk about my family. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese family size and the way to address family members.

Homework: 1) Family paragraph + Family photo: due tomorrow. 2) Lesson Six Culture Reading exit slip questions: due by the end of today. 3) Virtual classroom activities (): Due by the end of Friday, 12/11/15.


  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one netbook, turn it on, and activate the browser. 2) Writing practice. 3) Conversation question practice (all rounds). 4) Go over common writing mistakes in your family paragraph.
  2. Seat work: 1) Family Paragraph. 2) Culture reading exit slip questions (textbook pages 52-53). 3) VC activities: Name for Family Members in Chinese + Writing Practice about Siblings (answers should begin with main character’s English name).





Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (12/10/15)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.   2) I can name family members. 3) (6P) I can explore origami. 4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.

Homework: 1) Test #2 (20 Chinese characters): tomorrow. 2) Practice reading sentences #1-#4.


  1. 1) Test #2 simulation. 2) Teach (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, he, liang). 3) Write sentence #4. 4) Read sentences #1-#4. 5) (6P) Origami time. Check as participation grade.
  2. 1) Video clip: Chinese tea. 2) Showcase tea sets.
