Procedure for MS Chinese I 3P / 8P (12/11/15)


Objectives: 1) I can write and talk about my family. 2) I can prepare for my chapter test. 3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese family size and the way to address family members.

Homework: 1) Family paragraph + Family photo + 2 VC activities are due by the end of today. 2) Lesson Six Vocabulary Quiz: Monday, 12/14/15. 3) Quizlet link: http://quizlet.com/3629577/ni-hao-1-lesson-6-vocabulary-flash-cards/.


  1. 1) Opening routine. Take one copy of revised Conversation Questions handout. Take one netbook, turn it on, activate a browser and set aside. Study guide and the list of culture reading MC questions will be e-mailed to you over this weekend. 2) Writing practice. (3P: Luke, Justin, Liam, Jacob, Katie; 8P: Julia) talk to Ms. Chang, please. 3) Teach (保, 罗, 丽). 4) Conversation practice. Oral conversation modeling (all rounds). 5) Go over Lesson Six text passages.
  2. Seat work: 1) Check comments and finalize your Family Paragraph. 2) Read comments and fix your VC activities: Writing Practice + Writing Practice about Siblings (answers should begin with main character’s English name). 3) For those who are done with everything, click the link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFciLs2hXPw, for enrichment video.



Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 6P / 7P (12/11/15)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.   2) I can say dates in Chinese. 3) I can showcase my mastery of 20 Chinese characters.

Homework: Quiz #1 (connecting the dots): Monday, 12/14/15.


1.  1) (6P) Quick review of 20 characters.  Test #2. 2) Teach (sheng ri, nian, yue, ri). 3) Write sentence #5. 4) Read sentences #1-#5. Collect. 5) (7P) Go over test-taking strategy for Quiz #1.

2.  (7P) Showcase variety of tea.
